Anne Wade

Anne Kathleen Wade of Baton Rouge, died March 13, 2012, age 69, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was the daughter of the late Dr. Luther I. Wade, Jr. and Kathleen Reece Wade. She is survived by three brothers and two sisters, Luther I. Wade, III and wife Marylyn of Charlotte, NC, Billie Wade Wiley and husband John of Davidson, NC, John F. Wade and wife Alice of Ellicott City, MD, Richard D. Wade of Raleigh, NC, and Rebecca Wade Walker of Webster, TX numerous nieces, nephews, and grandnieces and grandnephews and by her beloved dogs, Mulder and Henry and cat Scully. Anne graduated from LSU with a Bachelors degree in Anthropology and a Masters in Library Science. After being employed at the University of Kentucky Library, she returned to Baton Rouge, where she held the position of Director of Technical Services at the East Baton Rouge Parish Library for many years before retiring. After retirement she enjoyed traveling to Europe and many activities such as yoga, and especially training her dogs for agility competitions. At her request a family memorial service will be held in Pensacola, FL, a longtime family vacation spot, at a later date.
