Annarita Knox, 57, passed away on July 2, 2016 in Baton Rouge, LA.
Annarita was born in New Orleans to George L. Knox, Jr. and Rita P. Knox, on June 6, 1959. She was christened at birth a catholic, and later baptized in a Baptist Church.
Annarita graduated from Marian Abramson Senior High in May of 1977. She later went to Delgado Community College and became a permanent substitute teacher at Sherwood Forest Elementary.
Annarita is preceded in death by her parents; a brother, George L. Knox, III; her grandparents, aunts, uncles, and several cousins.
Annarita is survived by her daughter, Sabrina A. Knox; her sister, Maryann K. Washington; her nephew and godson, Marc Washington; and her brother-in-law, Keith Washington. She is the niece of Camille Smith and Emelda Paul, and best friend of Daphne Valteau. She is also survived by several loving cousins and friends.
Services will be held at Broadmoor Baptist Church, 9755 Goodwood Blvd. Baton Rouge, LA 70816 at 11:00 AM. Visitation is from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM. Private burial will be at a later date.
