Anna Mae Alleman Hodgeson, age 83, native of Denham Springs and resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2016.
Anna was a graduate of Istrouma High School class of 1951. She met the love her life, Connie, when they were just sixteen. Anna and Connie spent 63 happily married years together. She was an active member of Woodlawn Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for 35 years. Anna loved music and dancing. She never missed a chance to jitterbug.
She is survived by her husband, Connie Ray Hodgeson; son, Keith Ray Hodgeson; grandchildren, Claire Ellen Ripoll and Husband Charles Henry Ripoll II, Conner Evan Hodgeson, and Brianna Rae Hodgeson; great-grandchildren, Henry Joseph Ripoll III and Charlotte Mae Ripoll; sisters, Dorothy Sanders, and Audrey Brown and husband Richard Brown Jr.; brothers, Charles Alleman and wife Doris Alleman, and Nolan Alleman and wife Bobbie Alleman; and sister-in-law, Carrol Alleman.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents, John Joseph Alleman and Mary Ellen Navo Alleman; sister, Thelma Alleman; brother, Johnny Alleman; and brother-in-law, Odis Sanders Sr.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2016, at Resthaven Gardens of Memory & Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA 70816, from 12:00 PM until services at 2:00 PM.
