Beloved wife, mother, motherinlaw, grandmother, greatgrandmother and friend to all, Ann Carol Forrester Lyles passed away Monday, Dec. 5, 2011, at her home. She was born Aug. 5, 1933, in Jonesboro, Ark. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, George Lyles three children, Larenda Lyles Roberts and husband Jack Roberts, of Thousand Oaks, Calif., Roberta Lyles Turner and husband Steve Turner, of Plainview, Texas, and Bob Lyles and wife CeCe Lyles, of Baton Rouge seven grandchildren and their spouses, Allyson and Will Ohman, Clint and Katrina Roberts, Melissa and Dustin DeBusk, Aaron and Sarah Turner, Rob and Stephanie Lyles, Charles Lyles, and Sam Lyles two greatgrandchildren, Jack and Annabel Ohman. Ann was a longtime active member of Goodwood Boulevard Church of Christ. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Honorary pallbearers are Jerry Kimbrough, Jim Lackie and Nathan Lackie. The family wishes to thank special friends and caregivers Kathy Elam, Nancy and Jerry Kimbrough, Tonya Laforgery, as well as the staff of St. Joseph Hospice. Visitation at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Thursday, Dec. 8, from noon until service time at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph Hospice or the Alzheimers Services of the Capital Area.
