Ann Reeves Harvey

Ann Reeves Harvey, 81, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 11, 2023.

Ann (81) was born on October 1^st, 1941, in Tangipahoa, Louisiana, the only child of Katie May Holliday and Willie Chester Reeves.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Nikolas Lane Smith.

Survived by her partner of 45 years, Thomas Eugene Harvey, Sr., daughters Kim Papenhausen (Darrell), Kristy Stewart (Gary), Karmon Baker (Jay), grandchildren, Christopher Smith Jr. (Tiffany), Lindsey Spillers, Tucker Sharer, Taylor Sharer, and great grandchildren Briyden Spillers, Paizlie Graham, Welles Smith, Tripp Graham, Ellie Smith, and Reese Smith.

Known as Mom, Granny, and Miss Ann, by those she loved most, Ann was raised on a dairy farm in Kentwood, Louisiana, and would grow up surrounded by a loving extended family that worked hard and loved hard. That shaped the life she would live as her own, extended, and blended family grew around her in love and faith. Although slight in stature, she was a giant in her love for her family, and her love for Jesus.

Pallbearers will be Dale Smith, Mike Spillers, Darrell Papenhausen, Christopher Smith, Tucker Sharer, and Briyden Spillers.

Visitation will be Monday, August 14, 2023, and Resthaven Gardens of Memory and Funeral Home from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM followed by a Celebration of Life at 10:00 AM

The family would like to thank all the staff of the Claiborne at Baton Rouge Assisted Living, St. Joseph’s Hospice, and the Carpenter House, for their excellent care and selfless compassion for Mom, and us, during her stay.

In lieu of flowers, the family would ask for donations to be made to the Alzheimer’s Services of the Capital Area.
