Angelo Paul Sparacino, Jr. known as "Angie" to some, a long-time resident of Baton Rouge, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on May 6, 2017.
Angelo was born on March 30, 1927. The youngest of eleven children, the son of Angelo and Maggie Sparacino of Lettsworth, LA. Angelo enjoyed a career at LSU as an A/C, refrigeration maintenance mechanic and as a sales representative for Bologna Brothers. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.
Angelo was preceded in death by his wife, Lucy Mancuso Sparacino; his parents, Angelo and Maggie; and ten brothers and sisters.
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by three daughters, Magdalen "Mickie" Sparacino Marchiafava and husband Sammy, Anna Marie Sparacino and companion Kenny Caruso, and Angela "Angel" Sparacino Ellis; six grandchildren, Mekel Marchiafava LeBoeuf and husband Jared, Keriann Scavona Jenkins and husband Scott, Korey Scavona, Robbie Marshall, Amanda Marshall, and Ali Gibby; and five great grandchildren, Nikolas Scavona, Slade and Keller Jenkins, Rylee Matusicky and Jett LeBoeuf.
Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. A rosary will be said at 6:45 pm. Visitation will resume on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, 445 Marquette Ave, Baton Rouge, LA from 9:00 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
Pallbearers will be Scott Jenkins, Korey Scavona, Robbie Marshall, Jared LeBoeuf, Josh Sparacino, and Jonathan Sparacino.
