A resident of Gonzales and the cofounder of Cajun Connection Dist., she died at 7:57 p.m. Saturday, April 19, 2008, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Bluebonnet. She was 68, a homemaker and native of Baton Rouge. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Tuesday, April 22, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., with a rosary at 7 p.m., led by the Knights of Columbus. Visiting at St. Gerard Majella Catholic Church, 5354 Plank Road, on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m., with the Rev. Sam Maranto, celebrant. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by her husband, Samuel L. Butch Pizzillo; a daughter, Rose P. Marks and husband Kevin; two sons, Samuel M. Pizzillo and Timothy L. Tim Pizzillo and wife Chantel; two sisters, Frances D'Amico and JoAnn LeBlanc; three brothers, Ben, Joe and Johnny Salpietra; and four grandchildren, Ashton and Baileigh Pizzillo and Declan and Kaitlin Marks. Preceded in death by parents, John and Mary Salpietra; two sisters, Mamie Landry and Mary Barbier; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Sam and Rose Pizzillo.
