Angela Leggio Nolan, a native of Baton Rouge, LA and a resident of Gonzales, LA, passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at the age of 83. She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart and Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Churches. She attended Sacred Heart Elementary School and was a graduate of St. Joseph’s Academy in Baton Rouge, LA and attended LSU. She loved to travel, was an avid CHS and LSU sports fan, and adored her only grandson, Nolan. She worked as a homemaker and also with the Louisiana Department of Labor.
She is survived by her son, Thomas "Tommy" Aloysius Nolan Jr.; daughter, Rhonda Nolan Levy and her spouse, Darryl "Alex" Alexander Levy; grandson, Nolan Alexander Levy; brother, Gregory John Leggio and his wife, Laurie Stoliker Leggio; nephew, Johnangelo Athanasius Leggio; nieces, Maria Carmella Leggio, and Lucia Leggio Iturralde.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Thomas “Tom” Aloysius Nolan, Sr.; parents, Angelo Gregory Leggio and Sara Noto Leggio.
Visitation will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2250 Main St, Baton Rouge, LA 70802, on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 from 9:30 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at The Parc Senior Living in Gonzales and to Hospice of Baton Rouge.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
