Amy Goodrum

Amy Catania Goodrum, age 51, of Prairieville peacefully passed away on May 21, 2022, after battling cancer. She was a devoted and adoring wife to her loving husband Jimmy. Her family will remember her as an inspirational mother and fun-loving grandmother of three, better known as Gigi. Amy graduated from Central High School and Southeastern Louisiana University. She was a longtime teacher's assistant at St. George Catholic School. She is survived by her devoted husband Jimmy Goodrum; children, Megan (Sean) Pennison and Ryan Jeanfreau; parents, Claude and Theresa Catania; sister, Donna (Mike) Francisco and brother Chris (Danielle) Catania; mother-in-law, Judy Goodrum; stepchildren, Ross (Macy) Goodrum, Megan (Steven) Gilliam, Grant Goodrum; sisters-in-law, Dr. Linda Goodrum and Sharon (Paul) Sly; and the entire Jeanfreau family. She was preceded in death by her late husband David Jeanfreau. Visitation will be on May 27 at St. George Catholic Church (7808 St George Dr., Baton Rouge, LA 70809) 9:30 to 11:00 am, followed by a Catholic funeral mass and interment on location.
