Amelia Neubauer

Amelia L. Neubauer, age 91, passed into the arms of her Lord and Savior on February 22, 2016, in Houston, TX.

She was born in New Orleans, La., on September 28, 1924, to parents Charles LeBlanc and Amelia Twilbeck. She met her future husband of 59 years, Jack K. Neubauer in New Orleans during WWII and he preceded her in death.

Also preceding her were brothers Charles and Roy LeBlanc and a sister Ora Genovese and a great granddaughter Alyssa Neubauer.

Surviving her are two sons, Kenneth P. Neubauer and wife Rhonda of Houston, TX, and Scott Neubauer and wife Toni of Baton Rouge, La. Also surviving are two grandchildren, grandson David Neubauer and wife Courtney of Sunshine, La., and granddaughter Jennifer and husband Roy Berthelot of Baton Rouge, La. In addition, two great-granddaughters Olivia and Meredith Neubauer of Sunshine, La. She also is survived by a brother Lloyd LeBlanc and wife Janell of Covington, La.

We wish to express our sincere thanks to Southern Knights Assisted Living of Tomball, TX, for it's care of Amelia during the last six months; also our thanks go to Silverado Hospice for its love and care of our family during her final days.

Visitation will be held Saturday, February 27, 2016, from 9:30 to 11:00 am followed immediately at 11:00 am by a short service at Resthaven Gardens of Memory & Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., Baton Rouge, LA 70816.
