He leaves behind many who will miss him dearly. His wife, Lori Meyerer, whom he always gave a strong and steady hand to hold, permanence and an awesome and adventurous life, his children Seth Brown and his wife Sherrill of CA, Ethan Brown, Dayna Brown of CA, step-daughter Shauna Jatho of BR, grandchildren Evan, Noah and Lucas Brown, Joseph and Sophia Jatho , brother Sherman and his wife Maryjayne of Prairieville (remember, Jud had the last laugh), nephews Christopher Brown and Benjamin Brown, sister-in-law Lisa Meyerer, God-son Turner Benard. He also will be missed by his military family, his militia brothers and MS Defense Force brothers. He was a well-respected patriot, a true warrior, always loyal and supportive, and a great friend to those who were blessed to cross his path. We will all miss his huge, contagious laugh.

He was blessed and most proud to be called PaPa Jud/PaPaw by his grandchildren who never knew what he'd do next to make them laugh. They'll be watching for signs that show you are forever watching over them. He loved to travel, cook, dance, enjoy the mountains of Colorado, ride his Harley, and share his expertise of survival and rifle skills. He was a protector of our 2nd amendment right to bear arms. He always carried a special place in his heart for POW/MIA.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of the BR General Hospital Bluebonnet, 3rd and 6th floors and ICU. You are all angels.

Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Wounded Warrior Project, VVA or VFW.

JB, you rocked my soul, my sweet man. Ride off into the wind and spread your wings JB, ride off into the wind! Jud, you fought your last battle of this journey and your reward is before you. PaPaw, you absolutely made an impression on all of your grandchildren. You are our hero for not only what you did on the battlefield, but for what you did when you came home. Welcome home! Semper Fi
