Allie Patterson

Allie Desselle Patterson went to her heavenly home on May 5, 2021.  She was born on September 30, 1926, in Jacoby, LA and graduated from Innis High School.  She was 94 years old.  Baton Rouge was her home for most of her adult life until 2019 when she and her Chihuahua, Socks, moved to Hixon, TN to be near her daughter Linda Phillips.  She moved in with Linda in 2020 to escape the Covid lockdown.   She loved discussing current events, doing jigsaw puzzles and reading and watching Bible Study on TV.   Her greatest joy was her family.  She was the hub of the family wheel.   She also loved looking out over the valley and seeing the deer outside of her window.  She enjoyed taking Sunday rides in the mountains ending at Sonic for ice cream.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, JD Patterson.  She was the last of her siblings.  Her five children are Jean Price, Doug (wife Kathleen), Richard (wife Carolyn), Linda Phillips (husband David) and Bob.  She has 9 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 2 great- great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy. Baton Rouge, LA 70816, on Friday, May 14, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.  Visitation will continue at Resthaven Funeral Home on Saturday, May 15, 2021 from 10:00 AM until Funeral Service at 11:00 AM.  Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
