A homemaker and a resident of Baton Rouge, she died Sunday, March 1, 2009, at her home. She was 81 and a native of Scott. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Tuesday, March 3, from 11:30 a.m. until religious service at 2:30 p.m. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by her husband, Hubert Ockman Sr.; daughter, Peggy Wilson Fleming and husband Donald Keith, Denham Springs; son, Hubert Sonny Ockman Jr. and wife Cherri Taylor Ockman, Denham Springs; three sisters, Adele Stelly, Ada Hebert and Alice Hebert; brother, Balthazar B. Pellerin; grandchildren, William C. Wilson III and wife Allyson, Telly J. Wilson, Melissa B. Wilson, Amanda Ockman Daigle and husband Mann, Ashley Ockman Vineyard and husband Jason; great-grandchildren, Canyon, Dylan, Madison, Duncan, Ladd, Sonny, Londyn, Alexis, Jase, and Carson; and stepgrandchildren, Donnie, Danny and Brittnie Fleming. Preceded in death by her parents, Adele Meyers Pellerin and Balthazar Pellerin; eight brothers and four sisters. Pallbearers will be William C. Wilson III, Telly J. Wilson, William C. Wilson Jr., Mann Daigle, Ladd Daigle and Jason Vineyard. She was a member of the Third Order of Mary and served in the Altar Rosary Society of St. Gerard Catholic Church.
