Alice Marie Benn Lovelace, age 90, a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on November 16, 2019.
Besides being dedicated to her family, Alice was an artist, a genealogist, a gardener, an avid reader, and a world traveler. Born and raised in Ottumwa, Iowa, Alice also lived in San Francisco, New Orleans, Jakarta, The Hague, and London.
Alice is survived by her husband of 64 adventurous years, Bobby Gene Lovelace; son John Kevin Lovelace (Wendy); daughter Elizabeth Lovelace Schaff (Michael); grandchildren Amanda Marie Thomasee, Anna Elizabeth Lovelace, Ava Thomasee Skinner (Trisha), and Julia Camille Lovelace; and great-grandchildren Mckenzie Lyn Lovelace, Christian Cole Thomasee, Asher Atticus Thomasee, and Violet Victoria Thomasee. Alice is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Alice is preceded in death by her parents, Roy Orla Benn and Mabel Pearl Hawthorne Benn; her brother Delbert Arnold Benn; and her sisters Ila Irene Benn Olsen and Ella Bernadine Benn.
Visitation will be at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 from 9:00 am until funeral services at 11:00 am.
