Burial in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Alfred C. Freddie Purple, a resident of Pride born in Baywood, passed away at 4 a.m. Monday, Feb. 28, 2011. He was 64 and a U.S. Air Force veteran who served during the Vietnam War and retired from Exxon Mobil. He is survived by his wife, Mary Martin Purple daughter and soninlaw, Marlo Purple Moret and John R. Moret son, Jason Blake Purple son and fiance, Michael Chad Purple and Miranda Lynne Bailey seven grandchildren, Olivia, Tanner, August, Will, Bryce, Bekah and Jayce and greatgrandchild, Raylee. He was preceded in death by his parents, Al and Julia Purple and sister, Henrietta Purple Williams. The family requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association or Greater Baton Rouge Model Railroaders.
