Albert Starnes

A retiree of Lucent Technologies after 34 years of service, he passed away at the age of 64 on Wednesday, October 19, 2011. He was a native of Alice, Texas, a resident of Baton Rouge and a member of the Deep South Steel Guitar Musicians Association. Visiting will be at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Friday, October 21, 2011 from 5pm until 9pm. Visiting will resume at the funeral home on Saturday, October 22, 2011 from 10am until service at 11am, conducted by Rev. Jerry Martin. Burial will be in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Silvio Starnes a daughter, Julie Starnes Bennett and husband, Heath a son, Leonard Starnes grandchildren, Kalie Linder Starnes, Audrey Bennett and Stephen Bennett and a brother, Roger Starnes and wife, Cathy. He was preceded in death by his mother, Nona Starnes Thornhill father, Albert L. Starnes and his uncle and aunt, George and Ethel Waltman.
