A native of New Orleans, resident of Baton Rouge, former electrician at Georgia Pacific, Korean War Veteran and Purple Heart Recipient, Albert E. Sauvinet, Jr. passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2017. He was 86 years old.
He is survived by his beloved grandson, Elliott E. Sauvinet and his wife, Dorothy of Mandeville; great-granddaughters, Perry and Louise; daughter-in-law, Ivy Sauvinet Starns of Baton Rouge; and brother, Bobby Sauvinet of Elizabethtown, North Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Willa Rae Elliott Sauvinet; son, Rodni E. Sauvinet; parents, Mary and Albert E. Sauvinet; and sister, Shirley Sauvinet Audibert.
Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Saturday, March 4, 2017 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. until religious service in the chapel at 11 a.m. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
