Alan E. Martin, a resident of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2024, at the age of 80. He was born on August 17, 1943, in Pitkin, Louisiana to Luther E. Martin and Edna E. Martin.
Alan attended DeRidder High School and Louisiana State University. Alan worked for many years at Baton Rouge Lumber, before opening his own business, Martin Lumber Company. He loved sports, the outdoors, and his camp on False River. Alan was blessed to work alongside his son and spend time with his grandchildren. He also loved “laughing, lying and searching for the truth” with his friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents. Alan is survived by his son, Zachary Didier and wife, Brittney Didier; and his grandchildren, Grayson, Elijah, Brady, and Lyla.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy. in Baton Rouge on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at 2:30 p.m. A Visitation will be held beginning at 12:30 p.m.
