Agnes Blanchard Lambert, age 67, a native of Belle River and a resident of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away on Saturday, January 5th, 2019.
Agnes was a devoted wife and a loving and talented mother and grandmother. She spent the early years of her life and marriage dedicated to being a homemaker and raising her three children. During this time, she also spent many years working within the family business in all categories of office administration such as payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable along with other family members and friends at Lambert’s Heating and Air Conditioning. In later years, she was employed with Premier Bancorp of Baton Rouge in the collections department working her way into management. Upon retirement, she devoted her time to her husband and to her beautiful and talented granddaughters.
She enjoyed traveling and visiting family and was an avid seamstress continuously working and sewing quilts and other projects to keep her occupied in her retirement years. Her quilting projects always became beautiful gifts to family, as well as donations to various fund raisers.
Agnes is survived by her husband Wallace (AL) A. Lambert Jr., son Wallace (Wally) A. Lambert III and wife Allyson of Spanish Fort, AL, son Terry Lambert and wife Franki of Pierre Part, LA and daughter Natali L. Aucoin and husband Jody of Sorrento, LA. She is survived by 3 sisters and 2 brothers, Mary Jane Kirkland, Shirley Rivere and husband Lonnie Matherne, Karen Gros and husband Villary, Clifton Blanchard Jr. and wife Lorena and Warren Blanchard Sr. and wife Patricia. She is survived by six granddaughters, Olivia Broussard, Ainsley Lambert, Emmie Lambert, Abigail Lambert, Lillian Aucoin and Ann Marie Aucoin along with several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her mother Levie M. Blanchard, father Clifton Blanchard Sr., and sister Mabel Leonard.
A memorial visitation will be held on January 9, 2019, from 5pm-9pm at Resthaven Gardens of Memory Funeral Home located at 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA. On January 10th, 2019, visitation will be held at St. George Catholic Church located at 7808 St. George Dr., Baton Rouge, LA, at 9:30am with mass beginning at 11:00 am immediately followed by burial at St. George mausoleum.
Pallbearers will be Robert Lambert, Jeffrey Dunn, Johnny Blanchard, Falton Rivere Jr., Michael Broussard, Warren Blanchard Jr., Brian Gros, Paul Leonard, Chris Carley, and Thomas Gray.
