A resident of Baton Rouge and a native of New Iberia, he died at 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, 2011, at his home. He was 78. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was stationed in Japan. His career was in finance after graduating from the University of Southwest Louisiana in Lafayette, now known as ULL. He was a member of St. George Catholic Church and a docent at the LSU Rural Life Museum. He was talented in woodworking and built and crafted furniture and caning. He loved genealogy and playing golf with the LSU Senior Golfers. Visiting at St. George Catholic Church on Tuesday, Oct. 11, from 10 a.m. until Mass of the Resurrection at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Mike Schatzle. Inurnment in the church mausoleum. Survived by his wife, Theresa J. Moore two daughters and sonsinlaw, Monica and Richard Haggard, and Alicia and Jon Turner son, Adrian G. Moore Jr. sister, Una Buchanan and four grandchildren, Chad Haggard, Courtney Haggard, Christian Turner and Kendall Turner. Preceded in death by his parents, Adrien J. and Emilda L. Moore.
