Ace Sanders

Ace Bennett Daniel Sanders laid down his sword and won his battle with AML on December 10, 2020 at 12:06 A.M., at home surrounded by his loving family.

Ace is survived by his two sisters Journey and Nova, “Grammy” Lisa, “Pawpaw” Aaron Langley, Aunt Tabbi, “Mom” Victoria Bennett, “Dad” James Sanders, “Grandma” Angie, “Grandpa” Chris Sanders, “Grandmother” Julie and many, many, great grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, cousins, friends and extended family.

Ace was born in Fort Riley, Kansas and has lived in Kansas and Louisiana before moving to Tennessee in 2019 to begin his cancer treatment at St. Jude.

Ace was full of life and lived every moment to its fullest. His smile and laughter was infectious. He never met a stranger. Ace loved to play with his dinosaurs and could name them all and tell you facts about each one. He loved to race his hot wheels and he would often be racing in the dirt with his Uncle Bubbas’car winning. Ace would facetime his Mamaw Lois every day and played with his puppets or Legos with her. He loved his Monster trucks and Sonic the hedgehog. Ace loved to please people and make them happy. Everyone at St. Jude knew of Ace and loved him, especially all his girlfriends on staff. Ace would give his Grampa Chris the biggest hugs. Ace wanted to be a Doctor at St. Jude to help all the kids, but most of all he loved his Grammy and Papaw.

We would like to thank all of Ace’s Army and the doctors, nurses, and staff that were a part of Ace’s journey at St. Jude. They did an awesome job, and we will forever be grateful for the love and care they had for Ace.

Flowers can be sent to the funeral home or you can choose to donate to St. Jude Children’s research Hospital.

Visitation will take place at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy. on Saturday, December 19, 2020, from 12 PM until services at 2 PM. Burial will follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.

Pallbearers will be Tanner Sanders, Bryan Sanders, Daniel Geautreaux, James Bennett, David Bennett, Eric Bennett. Honorary pallbearers are Aaron Langley and Chris Sanders.
