Aaron Philibert, Jr.

A native of San Diego, Ca and a resident of Baton Rouge, La passed away Sunday, August 19, 2012 at the age of 77. Major Aaron Philibert retired after serving in the Air Force for over 20 years and also served as staff sergeant in the Marines for four years. Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home 11817 Jefferson Hwy on Monday, August 27, 2012 from 5pm until religious services at 7pm. Burial will be at 1pm Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at Port Hudson National Cemetery 20978 Port Hickey Road, Zachary La 70791. He is survived by his wife Charlane Stevens son, Aaron O. Philibert III and wife Kim sister, Elisa Siragusa and husband John brothers, Ken Philibert and Rose, and Rudy Philibert, Andrea and husband Bruce and their children Lake, Bryana, and Bryce nephews, Kenny Philibert Jr and wife Trina and their children Seth and Jared Rudy Philibert Jr, wife Tammy and their children Aidan Evan. Preceded in death by his parents Aaron O. Philibert Sr and Elizabeth Philibert and neice Stephanie Philibert. Aaron served in Korea and also piloted the F111 Ardvark in which he flew over 100 out of country missions in Vietnam and received many honors such as the Distinguished Flying Cross, the Air medal, and the Commendation medal.
