A. Krogstad

A. Lynne Gillespie Krogstad, age 62, native of Meridian, MS, and resident of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2015, at the Carpenter House.

Lynne was a lover of family, history, art, and travel. Lynne attended the University of Mississppi where she received a BA in History and a Juris Doctorate. She will be missed by her loving family. She was a beloved wife, mother, and sister.

Lynne is survived by her children, Kristin Krogstad Tompkins (Brent), Kenneth Benjamin Krogstad (Suzanne), and Sarah Lanell Krogstad (John); granddaughters, Merritt Patricia and Sophie Julia Tompkins; brothers, Dr. William M. Gillespie, III (Lynn), and Phillip S. Gillespie (Dan); nephews, William and Chandler Gillespie; and nieces, Sarah and Eleanor Gillespie-Randall.

She is preceded in death by her husband, L. Kenneth Krogstad; and parents, Dr. William Meek Gillespie, Jr. and Sarah Margaret Rayner Gillespie.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Sunday, September 27, 2015, at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA 70816, from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Monday, September 28, 2015, at St. Margaret's Episcopal Church, 12663 Perkins Rd, Baton Rouge, LA 70810, from 9:30 AM until the time of service.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, September 28, 2015, at St. Margaret's Episcopal Church at 11:00 AM, officiated by Father Patrick Edwards.
