Susan Elizabeth Hastings Pray of Baton Rouge, passed away on June 2nd. Retired after 33 years of service from the Louisiana Department of Social Services – Office of Family Support as a Program Specialist.

Susan is survived by her husband of 48 years, John; sons, Jonathan and Christopher; daughter-in-law, Laura; granddaughter, Jillian Claire; siblings, Linda Graziano, Cathy Hastings, and David Hastings; and mother, Mildred Ward Hastings.

Preceded in death by her father, William H. Hastings Jr., a niece and two nephews.

Visiting hours will take place at Resthaven Funeral Home in Baton Rouge on Wednesday June 6th from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be private and held at a later date.

She and John enjoyed traveling and spending time at their camp in St. Francisville.

In lieu of flowers please make donations to: Spillman Cemetery Fund, 13243 Highway 421, St. Francisville, Louisiana 70775.

The family wishes to thank longtime friend and Doctor Susan Richarme, along with Dr. Milton Giles Fort and the entire staff at Woman’s Hospital.
