Elizabeth Ann Taylor Crews, age 89, a resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, passed away on March 26, 2018. Ann was foremost a devout Christian and a member of the Swaggart Media Ministries. She loved to debate politics, enjoyed growing hibiscus and tended her goldfish. Ann’s world centered around family where she reigned as the matriarch.
Ann is survived by sons, James Michael Mann (Nadine), Darrell Lee Crews (Wanda) and daughters, Shirley Mann Filer and Connie Crews Scroggins (Rickey) all of Baton Rouge; brothers Tom Taylor (Barbara), Guy Nicholas Taylor (Faye), William Taylor, and sister, Hilda Fairbanks, all from Florida; grandchildren, Heather Verrett (Gerard), Mindy Lubecke (Brian), William Vincent (Maria), Christopher Demars, Cristy Templet (Quincy), Linsey Guillot (Brad), Shane Crews (Olivia); great grandchildren, Alyssa Verrett, Alexa Lubecke, Maria Vincent, Ava Crews, Briannah Luke, Jacee Diez, Mason Diez, and Madeline Demars all from the Baton Rouge area; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by husband, Henry Lee Crews, the love of her life; first husband, Eugene Powell Mann; son, Richard Powell Mann; parents, Dewey Raymond and Ruby Disspain Taylor; sisters, Sara Hardy, Jackie Wright, and Mary Dickey; and one brother, Dewey Raymond Taylor, Jr.
Visiting hours will take place at Resthaven Funeral Home on Friday, March 30, 2018 from 9:30 am until services at 11:00 am with burial to follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
Pallbearers will be Bill Vincent, Shane Crews, Brett Martin, Gerard Verrett, Brian Lubecke, John V. Luther and honorary pallbearer Richard L. Luther, a longtime family friend.
The family of Ann Crews wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dianne Miller and Lorraine Crifasi of Lifesource Hospice for their loving care during Ann’s illness.
