The 1st words I heard from David were, "Excuse me mam, are you Sam? I heard you got a clean pet scan & wanted to congratulate you." I was ashamed that others were so very sick & I got good news. In the 1st 3 minutes of knowing him he taught me a valuable lesson about being a survivor. "Don't keep quiet about it! We all NEED to know." He & Emily were in it to win it & so good to me. The world lost a wonderful family man. My deepest sympathies to Emily, family & all his many loved ones. Prayers from NC.
