Harry Edward Wilthew
Harry, age 83, a resident of Baton Rouge, La., passed away on January 4, 2018.
He served in the United States Navy on the submarine USS Dogfish and later retired from Kaiser Aluminum after 35 years.
Harry is survived by his wife of 49 years, Margaret; his four children, Karen, Janine, Michael and David; and his grandchildren, Katherine, Jacob, Gretchen, Kyle, Miguel, Mariella, Alex, Camille and Dominique.
Visiting hours will take place at Resthaven Funeral Home on Sunday, January 7, 2018, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Visitation will resume on Monday, January 8, 2018, at 10:00 am until service at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.

    On behalf of our Board of Directors, Staff and Membership, I offer our condolences to the family of shipmate Harry Wilthew. We salute and thank this awesome man for his submarine service to his country on the USS DOGFISH (SS 350). A copy of his obituary will be placed in the file of this submarine at our Museum. Rest your oars good and faithful servant, we now have the watch sailor. You now at long last have the eternal fair winds and following seas you so rightly earned during your time here on earth. God Bless you for your service, and may his love and grace comfort your family left behind.
