Hamilton “Hambone” Joseph Lemoine, age 70, a native of Cottonport, LA and a resident of Baton Rouge, LA passed away on November 18, 2017, after a short battle with cancer.
Hamilton was a Vietnam Veteran. He was an amazing father, grandfather, and loyal friend to everyone. Hamilton had strong faith and an infectious smile. He will be missed by many.
Hamilton is survived by his son, Hudson Lemoine and wife, Joanna; his daughter, Nicole Lemoine; his grandchildren, Ava and Hope Lemoine; and his brother, Mike Lemoine.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Rhonda Sutherland Lemoine; and his parents, Joseph and Audrey Lemoine.
Hamilton was a great football player who starred for Baton Rouge High School when they won the state championship. He was an avid outdoorsman and served as a professional hunting guide at Pinelog Big Game Ranch. After guiding his young granddaughter to take a trophy buck, he “elected” himself the ranch’s # 1 guide.
Hamilton was always hilarious and never short of quick wit, “Hambone” leaves a legacy of laughter and good will for all those who were ever around him. He attended LSU, worked for Brown & Brown Insurance agency, and loved Tiger football.
Thanks to Marilyn and Mackie Price for their assistance, and a very special thanks for the loving care of Theresa Roper.
Visitation will be held at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 2025 Stuart Ave., Baton Rouge, LA on Tuesday, November 21, 2017, from 9:00am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am.

Met Hambone through work and became friends. Loved it when he came by or we met for lunch to discuss business and LSU football. Was always upbeat and he made me a better person for knowing him. I will miss him.

Hambone, the 13 years of my knowing you have been anything but dull. You have meant more to me in my world than even I have realized until now.
